Nephritic Instantiations
The passing clouds scraped his intentions from the sky and
rippled his sidereal reflection. The impermanence of these
electronic marks laughed at the tingling prescience of his
deliberateness, feeding his longing for ink and paper. If only he
had a pen that could write in a thousand books at once! But alas,
he had to acknowledge that he could scarcely bear the finality of
physical expressions.
The word "No" echoed from the void and formed the ground.
The word "Yes" echoed from the void and formed the sky.
The ground covered itself in fog to hide from the sky, and
shook itself violently in fearful sleep. The sky looked down at
this blanket of fog and lit itself up with love, and beamed in
warmth at what it knew was underneath.
The ground rolled beneath the fog and began to spin, trying
to flee the sky, but the sky poured itself over the ground and made
an embracing sphere, and the ground was helpless to escape this
embrace.
The ground heaved and cracked, and spat the moon at the sky to
block it out and make night. But the sky embraced the moon and
filled it with light so that even in night it would shine the sky's
love onto the ground.
Finally, the ground realized that it could not escape the
sky's love. So it wept and made the oceans, from whence life came.
